Depois da cirurgia, ela continuou o tratamento com antibióticos durante 24 horas. O resultado da punção constatou que a jovem estava com uma mastite bacteriana. Já o antibiograma mostrou se tratar de uma bactéria característica da microbiota oral. Com isso, a farmacêutica entendeu que havia sido contaminada durante o ato sexual e que, por ter um piercing no seio, ele facilitou a entrada da bactéria no organismo.
“A principal forma de contaminação das mamas, com piercing, advém das rachaduras que podem acontecer com a manipulação dos seios durante o sexo. Vale dizer ainda que o piercing é um corpo estranho que rompe a barreira de defesa da pele, aumentando o risco de infecções”, explica a mastologista Kelma Sandes, do Centro Médico Elsimar Coutinho Day Hospital (CEPARH).
